It is a highly collectible near fine copy of what is a very scarce first issue copy. The poem first appeared in Bloomfields 'Rural Poems' in 1802. This being the scarce first separate edition. The poem relates the story of a woman walking nervously from Euston Park to Fakenham, who was followed by a trotting monster. The menace trudges ever closer only to be......erm a donkey.  A happy ending had by all as the donkey is taken in by the ladies family and becomes part of the family! good times. A scarce title in first issue and hard to find in such nice condition. .
