This copy is from the library of a Macmillan employee, so may have been prepared for them especially in a slipcase. Bears some minor markings to the slipcase, but otherwise in fine condition. Mervyn Peake had just retuned from service as a war artist when he was commissioned to illustrate Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in 1945.
