Boston: N/P, 1893. A letter from the bookseller, W.B. Clarke & co. to the Mr W.S. Hyde, informing him that they were holding a book he had purchased, until he made future orders, in order to save the shipping on a single item. On company headed paper, with the details of the bookseller, and their address in Washington Street, Boston. It is hand written, and signed on behalf of the company by "Fleet?". Written in brown ink, this has become a little blurred in parts where it has got damp, but still legible. Date stamp to show receipt to the base. A Single leaf, blank to the verso and folded into three. Not earth shattering, but a nice piece of bookseller ephemeral history. 24cm x 15cm. . Lettre du libraire W.B. Clarke & co. à M. W.S. Hyde, l'informant qu'il conservait un livre qu'il avait acheté jusqu'à ce qu'il passe d'autres commandes, afin d'économiser les frais d'expédition d'un seul article. Sur papier à en-tête de la société, avec les coordonnées du libraire et son adresse à Washington Street, Boston. La lettre est écrite à la main et signée au nom de la société par "Fleet". Écrit à l'encre brune, celle-ci est devenue un peu floue aux endroits où elle a été humide, mais reste lisible. Le cachet de la date indique la réception à la base. Une seule feuille, vierge au verso et pliée en trois. Rien d'extraordinaire, mais un beau morceau d'histoire éphémère de la librairie. 24cm x 15cm.
